With CREED II currently in theaters, it seems like a good time to talk ROCKY.
I first became a fan when my family rented a VHS tape of ROCKY III from a video rental place. I was completely taken in by this fast paced romp with three fights, featuring Mr. T and Hulk Hogan.
We got caught up, renting the first two films, and a short time later ROCKY IV was released and we saw it in the theater during Christmas vacation.
They’re cheesy and over the top, but I love these movies!
And I know many fans disagree with me on this, but I even love ROCKY V.
I bought the series for the first time in 1996 when a VHS 20-year-anniversary box set was released. At the time I never imagined there would be more than five ROCKY films someday, but here we are in 2018 with the 8th one in theaters.
The set came with a booklet with pictures and information from the films:

I upgraded to DVD shortly after the release of ROCKY BALBOA in 2006.
And of course I now have them on blu-ray.
When ROCKY BALBOA was released in 2006, a ROCKY guide book came out. It’s hardcover, 12×10 inches, 143 pages, and contains a wealth of information on the six ROCKY films.
