In 1976, for the first time ever, Superman and Spider-Man appeared in a comic together, produced by DC and Marvel, that was a whopping 92 pages. 50 years later, they released a giant-sized reprint in March 2026.

I love the comic art style of the 1970s. This is such a classic look for Supes and Spidey.

In addition to this reprint, Marvel and DC put out two new issues bringing these two favorite characters together yet again in all new stories.

Superman Spider-Man #1 was released by DC in March, and Spider-Man Superman #1 came out from Marvel this week. Both issues had many cover variants, but I only picked up one cover for each. The cover I chose for DC’s offering is an homage to the original team-up cover from 1976.
From DC’s:

From Marvel’s:

Both issues have multiple stories with different writers and art teams, and as you can see, some of the stories feature additional Marvel and DC characters.

These gems are currently on the shelves of your local comic shop. (And look how massive that reprint of the original 1976 team-up is compared to regular-sized comics!)
