This outstanding set was part of Kenner’s first wave of EMPIRE STRIKES BACK toys. Of course, this snow fort isn’t featured in the film, but Kenner correctly understood that kids playing with STAR WARS figures didn’t just remake scenes from the movies. Kids created their own adventures, and Kenner sometimes made their own creations, such as this fort and the Mini-Rig vehicles, to add to a kid’s playtime options.
This is one of my all time favorite play-sets from any toyline. Let’s check out the box first.

The laser cannon swivels, making a clicking sound.
At the push of a button, a piece of the ground pops up, causing a figure to fall.
The ice bridge collapses at the push of a lever.
The control room also collapses at the push of a button.
Over 40 years later, this set is still a ton of fun.
